PROFESSIONAL JOB
DESCRIPTION
FOR MILES CITY, MT
This outpatient
full time
therapist position
for the Eastern
Montana Community
Mental Health
Center is
responsible for
providing the
following
services:
1. Provide mental
health
counseling/therapy
to individuals of
all age ranges
with a wide
range of DSM-IV
diagnoses.
2. Provide mental
health
counseling/therapy
to couples and
families.
3. Conduct
diagnostic
interview/intake
sessions with each
new client.
4. Provide crisis
intervention (at
the work office
and after business
hours while
serving on crisis
call
intervention).
5. Conduct mental
health evaluations
for individuals
who may meet
criteria for
needing a more
restrictive level
of care. Prepare
court reports for
hospital
commitment court
hearings, and
testify as an
expert witness as
needed.
6. Consult with
EMCMHC staff as
needed.
7. Maintenance of
records in
accordance to the
Center’s policy
and observance of
confidentiality
with regard to
patient services.
8. Consultation
and cooperation
with area
physicians and
other
professionals when
pertinent in
developing
treatment plans
for clients and
inpatient
referrals when
necessary.
9. Attendance in
staff meetings,
peer reviews, and
regional staff
meetings as
required as well
as attendance at
in-services and
training programs
as required
by this Center.
10. Maintain LCPC
OR LCSW licensure
by attending
professional
seminars/workshops
to meet required
C.E.U. hours once
obtained.
